Each participant will begin with a simple decoration and will follow the procedure below.

Tile in red clay 20×20 cm

To pour the glaze on it

The glaze dries in few seconds, so you can paint over it.

We use a stencil to move the pattern on the glazed tile (old technique).

The stencil leaves a charcoal trace.

We put the tile on a potter’s wheel and we sign a circular line (filetto).

The tile is rest on the easel and we go over the lines of a drawing with orange colour.

After that we use the brown colour (manganese).

We change the brush and we paint the background (campitura) with yellow.

We carry on with orange (shading).

We paint the border with green peacock.

We add Verde Ramina (a sort of green that looks like black when we use it, but after firing is bright green).

At the end we add blue and the tide is ready to fire.

Result after firing at 940°C (1724 degrees Fahrenheit).
