Rita Miranda was born in Todi, where she presently lives and works. She started her training studying design and painting.
Then specifically focused on Raku, the most suitable technique to express her love of shapes and forms of nature, above all, Sea World. She has studied extensively with Enzo Tilia and perfected her craft with Nino Caruso, author of many books regarding ceramics. Her training includes working with and being influenced by Piero Dorazio, Bruno Ceccobelli and Jacqueline Ryan.
Retrospectives: “980°C” (2010), into the exhibition place of Ab Ovo Gallery in Todi, with critic report by Luigi Meneghelli and “Di Terra” (2012), inside the Art Gallery RBFineart in Milano.
She takes part to Collective exhibitions: “Biennale di Venezia”; Palazzo Collicola in Spoleto nel 2011; “BACC Biennale Arte Ceramica Contemporanea” (2012) inside Scuderie Aldobrandini in Frascati; “CHANGE Contemporary Ceramic Art” (2012) into Centro Ceramico Fornace Pagliero, Castellamonte; “MATER, IN FUOCO” (2012) into Cattedrale ex Macello a Padova; “ARTE CERAMICA OGGI IN ITALIA” (2013) Villa Necchi in Milano.
In 2013 she takes part to the “13th International Ceramics Symposium New ValleyEgypte” and, during the same year, “The 3rd Int. Symposium of Ceramic” In Tunisia. Currently has been selected for the “4th Biennial Shanghai International Contemporary Porcelain 2014.
